You've made a change in the trunk of SEMI CVS repository: -------------------- Start of forwarded message -------------------- From: dave Date: Wed, 20 Jan 2010 20:54:59 +0900 Subject: /cvs/root/semi: Compatibility with latest WL; stop using obsolete... The FLIM and SEMI developments are being done in the branches although many other developments (e.g., Emacs, Gnus, etc.) are being done in the trunk. That's the policy that Morioka-san, the maintainer, had decided first. The trunk is the place where the final fruit of the development will be put. What should I do to correct my error, if anything? Though I don't know the maintainer would like you to do, I think reverting the last change in the trunk and making a change in the branch instead (if necessary) are good. > Also, can you tell me which the current branches of FLIM, WL, and APEL > are? AFAIK: FLIM: flim-1_14 WL: trunk APEL: trunk But IIRC, all changes in SEMI, FLIM and APEL require the approval of the maintainer. The maintainer often does not respond, though. Agreed. The present situation arrests the growth of APEL, FLIM and SEMI. We must very much thank Morioka-san for his great works, but it's time to let him step down to make way for highly motivated people. What you should do will be only to declare that you are the maintainer of those CVS repositories in cvs.m17n.org. Japanese people support it, don't you? (Simply respond as `Agreed' or write objection.) The same message in Japanese: 賛成です。現在の状況は APEL、FLIM および SEMI の発展を妨げていま す。私たちは守岡さんの偉大な作品に本当に感謝しなければなりません が、強い意欲のある人々に道を開けるために退いてもらうときが来ました。 単にあなたはあなたが cvs.m17n.org にあるそれら CVS リポジトリの メインテイナーだと宣言すれば良いでしょう。日本のみなさんは支持し てくれますね? (単に `Agreed' と返事してください。あるいは反対意 見を述べてください。)
