default message display type?

Please tell me if I should send this message to another email list.

I use:

 nmh
 EMH/1.10.0
 SEMI/1.13.7 (Awazu)
 FLIM/1.13.2 (Kasanui)
 XEmacs/21.1 (patch 14) (Cuyahoga Valley) (i386--freebsd) 

If I receive a multipart email message, with the first part "plain" and the
2nd part "html", the html content is displayed by default.

How do I make "plain" to be the default?
